As is commendable by the ACCME criteria, CME is integrated into the process for improving professional practice with educational strategies implemented to remove, overcome or address barriers to physician change. Physicians are unable to consistently integrate new information into their practices because of the ways new medical knowledge is structured and disseminated, and the time it takes to completely scan for new information. • Integrate non-conventional principles and practices with conventional ones, while they select and employ the best of all available courses of treatment.
• Apply reviews of the latest basic science findings and predict the impact of these on clinical problems.
