Keep Learning... with every issue, or now On-Demand

With thousands of articles published annually in ophthalmology, it is an almost impossible task to sort through and read everything necessary to stay current. And there's the daunting task to even identify all the key clinical developments that are reported on in the numerous journals.

The physician-editors with Practical Reviews in Ophthalmology sort through dozens of publications, find the most relevant studies, summarize them, and suggest ways to apply this information in practice. Most of the reviews are available to you in convenient audio format — allowing you to download this material to your laptop, MP3 player or almost any portable device.

The traditional format of Practical Reviews allows you instant access to a database of ophthalmology issues, CME quizzes, and reviews where you can comment and share ideas with colleagues. Choose whether to receive your issues online, or mailed to you each month on an audio CD with the Audio/Online option.

With the all-new Practical Reviews On-Demand option, you can search for information across more than 30 specialties and create customized monthly issues.  You'll be able to earn unlimited CE credits in both ophthalmology and subspecialty topics.

ACCREDITATION

Statement of Need:

As is commendable by the ACCME criteria, CME is integrated into the process for improving professional practice with educational strategies implemented to remove, overcome or address barriers to physician change. Physicians are unable to consistently integrate new information into their practices because of the ways new medical knowledge is structured and disseminated, and the time it takes to completely scan for new information. Practical Reviews publications select and translate peer-reviewed literature for practical use, therefore diminishing the barrier of time.

Intended Audience:

Opthalmologists and others interested in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the eye.

Special Prerequisites for Participants:

There are no prerequisites for participants.

Learning Objective:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of diagnosis and treatment plans for disorders.
  • Evaluate evidence of the safety and efficacy of such approaches.
  • Integrate non-conventional principles and practices with conventional practices.
  • Review and critically analyze the most current and clinically useful information available in diagnosis and treatment
