Patients undergoing medical antithrombotic treatment may have hematoma formation after undergoing image-guided breast biopsy, although this does not warrant the risks of stopping the medication.

Patients with increased levels of background parenchymal enhancement and who have breasts with a greater percentage of fibroglandular tissue may be at increased likelihood of having a target lesion not visualized on the day of MRI-guided biopsy.
