CD70-Targeted Biomarker Can Detect NPC
Background: CD70 has been identified as a biomarker for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Targeting CD70 with [ 18 F]RCCB6 might enable immuno-PET/CT to locate malignant lesions related to NPC. Objective: To determine whether [ 18 F]RCCB6 immuno-PET/CT could detect the presence of CD70 in archived NPC specimens, and to determine the ability of [ 18 F]RCCB6 immuno-PET/CT imaging to detect NPC compared to 18 F-FDG PET/CT imaging. Methods: 80 archived NPC specimens were used for analysis. The CD70 expression was determined based on [ 18 F]RCCB6 immuno-PET/CT. The imaging comparison was performed on 25 patients who underwent both [ 18 F]RCCB6 immuno-PET/CT and 18 F-FDG PET/CT. The 25 NPC patients were subcategorized into early stage, advanced, recurrent, and follow-up categories. Results: In 72 of 80 NPC specimens, CD70 was positively identified. In all 15 of early stage NPC patients, [ 18 F]RCCB6 immuno-PET/CT showed detection of primary NPC tumors. In 3 patients with advanced NPC, varyin
