Background: Spinal epidural abscesses (SEAs) are often diagnosed late with consequences that range from permanent neurologic deficit to death. Little information is available on the medicolegal aspects of SEAs. Only 1 report on spinal epidural abscesses (SEA)-related lawsuits was published.
