Objective: To compare assessment of breast density on synthetic 2D images with digital 2D mammograms. Methods: 309 women who had a screening mammogram using a combination of digital 2D mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) with a final BI-RADS assessment of negative or benign (category 1 and 2) were selected.
