High Radiation Doses Lethal to Embryo, Alters Fetal Development


Radiographic imaging of pregnant patients poses a risk to both the patient and the unborn fetus. Laboratory animal studies have provided strong evidence of adverse effects from radiation exposure during embryonic and fetal development.
