Flumazenil (Romazicon ® ) is a drug indicated for benzodiazepine (BZO) overdose and reversal. Metabolism: Flumazenil is metabolized in the liver, and it has no active metabolites. The elimination half-life is relatively short (40 to 80 minutes), meaning that patients must be monitored for re-sedation for 2 or 3 hours after administration.
